SUMMARY

It is the Maintenance Tech's responsibility to maintain all facilities in a clean and sanitary manner.

Supervisory Responsibilities - None

Duties

1. Performs duties in the facilities such as sweeping, mopping, cleaning restrooms, removing garbage to keep the facilities clean and sanitary.
2. Assists with performing outside landscaping duties to keep property clean and orderly.
3. Support interdepartmental personnel by assisting with maintenance issues.

Tasks require walking, sitting, bending, reaching, mobility, frequent lifting and pushing/pulling. Work requires computer skills (word processing, spreadsheet, and data-entry), attention to detail and accuracy. Communication skills including listening and speaking are required for interaction with other employees, vendors, and customers. Strong interpersonal skills, the ability to balance multiple tasks and any stress associated with the duties and responsibilities of this position are essential requirements in the performance of this job.

Secondary duties with added requirements may be assigned from time to time.

General Qualifications:

1. Able to work overtime (weekdays / Saturdays) as required.
2. Ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing with coworkers.
3. Must have good organizational and time-management skills in order to stay focused on completing multiple tasks simultaneously.

Education and/or Experience

Any combination of education and training, equivalent to graduation from High School (or equivalent) would provide the required knowledge, skill, and ability to perform the job.

Minimum of 6 months experience in a manufacturing environment; with an additional 6 months of experience in related Facilities-Maintenance. Uses little, or no, independent discretion; receives direction or supervision on prioritization of all assignments. Must have a valid driver's license. Forklift experience desired.

Able to work in a fast-paced environment, with quickly changing work priorities.

TOOLS AND/OR EQUIPMENT

WORK ENVIRONMENT

75% manufacturing environment, and 25% outside (inclement weather could range from mid 20s, to 110+); lifting to 50 lbs. required; and up to 100 lbs. on occasion, with assistance. Eye, hearing and Cleanroom protective equipment/garments must be worn as required. This position is in a factory setting.
