OVERVIEW

At BlueHalo, we're pioneering new systems essential for certification management and training tailored for mission-critical roles. We're on the lookout for a DevOps Engineer and Administrator to spearhead the creation, operation, and maintenance of infrastructure pivotal to workflow automation and metrics web applications, as well as platforms for interactive training scenarios. WHAT YOU WILL DO

• Architect, manage, and fine-tune infrastructure supporting certification management and training endeavors.
• Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines and automation tools to streamline development, deployment, upkeep, and system monitoring.
• Facilitate the transition of non-cloud-native applications to cloud-native frameworks, including containerization, orchestration with Kubernetes, crafting Helm charts, and ensuring smooth migration and functionality within cloud ecosystems.
• Collaborate with external stakeholders to capture continuous system requirements, ensuring operational approval and compliance.
• Liaise with vendors or technical account managers (TAM) to address and rectify any issues impacting infrastructure performance.
• Conceptualize and document infrastructure improvements to foster growth and enhance infrastructure utilization.

WHAT QUALIFICATIONS YOU WILL BRING

• 12 years of experience, with a B.S. in a technical discipline, or an additional 4 years of experience in lieu of a B.S. degree.
• Proficiency in scripting languages such as PowerShell, Bash, or Python for task automation.
• Expertise in containerization and orchestration tools (Docker, Kubernetes, Rancher).
• Experience in crafting and managing CI/CD pipelines with familiarity in ArgoCD, Flux, Rancher Fleet, Jenkins, GitLab CI, CircleCI, etc. (GitLab CI and Fleet preferred).
• Skilled in configuring and managing VMware products including vCenter, vSan, NSX Data Center, Horizon, and VCF.
• Competency in supporting VLAN backend networks and software-defined networks.
• Knowledge in administering VMware Horizon View virtual desktop infrastructure (VDI) solutions.
• Capability to identify and mitigate network vulnerabilities.
• Proficient in Windows and Linux Operating Systems administration.
• Experienced in managing Windows Active Directory domains and networking devices (routers, switches, firewalls).

Nice to have:

• Management of database systems (MongoDB, SQL, Elasticsearch, etc.).
• Utilization of Nessus for Compliance and Security Management.
• Knowledge of Cisco networking devices and Palo Alto firewalls.
• Experience in managing VMware backend infrastructure.
• Familiarity with Rancher, Rancher Fleet, GitLab CI, Rancher Rke2, and Rancher Longhorn.
