    JOB SUMMARY

    The Product Manager works directly with external and internal stakeholders to gather product requirements and deliver engineering product vision and concepts that result in products that appeal broadly to the company's target markets.

    Actively supports commercialization of advancements of current products and next generation robotic surgical systems and digital health platforms. Produces and implements product plans to achieve company goals. Effectively communicates and contributes in a high-level, dynamic environment. This position is based in the Fremont, CA office.
    DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
    Support product brand and prioritization of new product and product enhancement decisions that maximize profitable business growth.
    Assess global competitive technologies, products, strategies. Leverage insights within product development process.
    Identify market requirements and customer needs, translating these into marketing specifications for product development.
    Work to continuously improve product functionality and performance with the goal of delivering evolutionary and "best in class" products.
    Assess post market surveillance to assimilate customer feedback into meaningful product improvements.
    Contribute to development of global strategic plans by building a business case for new product opportunities.
    Interface with engineering, operations, quality, regulatory, clinicians, marketing, and sales to help achieve product and company goals.
    Attends conferences to maintain knowledge of technologies, clinical trends, and surgeon contacts.
    Works with Marketing to develop sales tools, collateral, and digital assets.
    Participates in customer visits and develops thought leader and key account relationships.

    Ensure all inventories, parts, regulatory measures, forms, procedures, and other resources and internal approvals are readily available to launch the product by target date and support it throughout the product lifespan through multifunctional group coordination.

    Ensure all system, part, instruments, and disposable inventories are in adequate amount to support commercial and internal demand from groups such as Engineering and customer support to prevent interruptions in commercial activities and internal operations while also preventing excessive inventory level.

    Assist with key marketing events and customer visits as necessary.

    QUALIFICATIONS

    Required:
    2 years of technology-based product management experience.
    4 years of medical device product management experience.
    Track record of bringing products from early development into commercial use.
    Experience in upstream product management, working with internal and external stakeholders completing product development and product launch deliverables
    Manage the upstream and downstream product management of THINK Surgical's robotic platforms
    Experience defining user needs and translating to product specifications
    Ability to communicate effectively with external product users and effectively capture their feedback.
    Strong interpersonal and analytical skills, initiative, judgment, creativity and problem-solving ability.
    Highly organized and detail-oriented with the ability to prioritize work demands amongst frequently changing priorities and deadlines
    Ability to learn quickly and problem solve in a highly dynamic environment
    Strong communication skills for collaborating with cross-functional teams.
    Excellent computer skills, including Windows, MS office, and project management.
    High level of integrity and work ethic
    Undergraduate Degree in Life Science, Engineering or Business fields
    Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and applicable Quality System
    Standards

    Preferred:
    Biomedical Engineering or marketing/business degree and MBA preferred
    Experience working as a product owner with agile development team
    Experience with cloud-based medical product software development
    Experience in UI/UX development and user-centered design
    Experience in clinical research, engineering development and project management

    Experience in CT based planning software, surgical robotics, orthopedic surgical navigation, and joint replacement instruments and/or surgical techniques are desirable.

    PHYSICAL DEMANDS & WORK ENVIRONMENT
    Must be able to remain in a stationary position and operate office equipment for a prolonged period of time.

    Physical activities include, but not limited to constant manual dexterity, moving about the work site, and/or handling objects weighing up to 20 lbs.

    Other infrequent physical activities include, but not limited to, positioning self to complete assigned tasks, and ascending/descending floors and/or ladders.

    Occasionally work around moving mechanical parts.

    Must be able to work in a schedule that commensurate with business operation, including work during weekends, holidays and/or times outside of normal business hours.

    Must be able to travel as business necessitates (up to 30-40 %).
