    Job Summary

    The Trade Compliance Analyst will play a key role in product classification, conduct AES audits of US export shipments, and provide day-to-day tactical support for trade compliance activities. This position demands meticulous attention to detail to troubleshoot and investigate information, ensuring compliance, resolving issues, and implementing process improvements. The Analyst will apply critical thinking skills, strong communication abilities, and organizational expertise to anticipate and fulfill the requirements of assigned tasks.

    Responsibilities

    Essential Job Responsibilities - other duties may be assigned
    • Conduct AES filing audits and ensure comprehensive archiving of export documentation for all US shipping sites. Document audit findings and ensure timely corrections are implemented.
    • Address carrier inquiries regarding US import clearance information, including classification, documentation, country of origin, and AD/CVD validation.
    • Develop proficiency in understanding technical specifications of products, engineering drawings, datasheets, and Bill of Materials to determine ECCN/HTSUS classification.
    • Collaborate with department Import/Export Analyst to maintain and audit the classification database, providing necessary updates to import carriers as needed.
    • Screen backlog report of planned orders to identify items that may necessitate export licensing, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
    • Engage in collaborative efforts with internal and external partners to obtain export compliance information relevant to assigned tasks.
    • Maintain comprehensive log of Trade Compliance inquiries, documenting both the nature of the requests and the outcomes of their fulfillment.
    • Maintain accurate records in accordance with regulatory requirements.
    • May be required to participate in training sessions to enhance understanding and proficiency in trade compliance practices.
    Qualifications

    Qualifications
    • Must be a US citizen or permanent resident alien of the US located within the US.
    • General knowledge of US export regulations.
    • Experience with AES Direct filing procedures of US exports.
    • Experience with product classification of HTSUS and ECCN.
    • Strong knowledge of MS Office 365.
    • Strong written and communication skills.
    • Ability to learn systems quickly.
    • Set daily priorities with minimal supervision.
