    Electrical Designer

    The major criteria for both positions would be:

    • A minimum of 5 years of experience in design and drafting in a refinery, or equivalent, setting. Ideally this would be someone that has worked at a client's site, or at least has good experience working in industrial settings.
    • Preference would be for someone that has experience with the Client's local refinery.
    • Proficient in the use of AutoCAD 2019.
    • Proficient in the use of the Microsoft Office Suite.
    • Become familiar with and adhere to Client's Lemont's Safe Practice Standards and Client's 's Corporate Safety Standards as needed.
    • Able to go outdoors into the refinery and wear PPE consisting of Fire-Resistant Clothing, hard hat, safety glasses, safety toe boots with a defined heal, and ear plugs. This is Client's minimum PPE requirements.
    • Perform field walkdowns if needed for layout, reviews, and verifications for design work, which could involve climbing ladders and stairways.
    • Has knowledge of or can quickly become knowledgeable in Client's local Electrical and Instrumentation specifications for design work.
    • Learn and work within Client's 's system for completing MOC action items assigned to them.

    E&I Designer Skills Required

    • Create field sketches for upfront engineering activities and convert those to AutoCAD files when released to do so by the Engineer, and modify and update existing drawings as required to fulfill project needs such as:
    • Instrument Loop Drawings (includes creating/updating the following)
    • Terminal cabinet drawings
    • DCS drawings – Delta V hardware
    • End device knowledge
    • Instrument location plans
    • Motor schematics – including understanding the logic in the control circuit
    • Power Plans & details
    • Grounding Plans & details
    • Lighting Plans & details
    • Panel schedules
    • Electric Trace Isometrics
    • Conduit and cable schedules
    • Electrical single lines
    • Area Classification drawings
