- The Mechanical Designer plays a pivotal role in the entire lifecycle, starting from conceptualization to the production and testing of the final product.
- Collaborating with design engineers throughout the development phase to pinpoint areas in the design that necessitate modifications or enhancements.
- Possessing knowledge of prevalent concepts, practices, and procedures within the realm of mechanical equipment.
- Assessing product or equipment specifications and performance criteria to determine designs feasible for existing manufacturing or processing facilities and techniques.
- Familiarity with standard concepts, practices, and procedures in heavy equipment design and manufacturing.
- Relying on experience and expertise to strategize and accomplish objectives.
- Tackling a variety of complex tasks efficiently.
- Oversight and leadership of team members' tasks.
- Collaborating with design engineering personnel and making necessary design alterations.
- Developing sketches for Mechanical drafters to generate sub-assemblies or final details.
- Working under general supervision with a high degree of creativity and autonomy.
- Knowledge of Mechanical Design.
- Command over the current ISO and ANSI (Y14) standards.
- Proficiency in the metric system and geometric dimensioning and tolerance.
- Familiarity with weldments and machining operations.
- Ability to comprehend and interpret scientific and technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents.
- Self-driven and proactive with a knack for working under tight deadlines.
- Capability to apply mathematical concepts like Calculus and modern Algebra.
- Competency in defining problems, gathering data, establishing facts, and deriving sound conclusions.
- Ability to interpret a wide array of technical instructions in mathematical or diagrammatic form and address numerous abstract and tangible variables.
