    Summary


    The Grant Writer will be responsible researching, writing and coordinating the grant and RFP application process; management of proposals and maintaining a donor database.

    WHAT YOU WILL BRING
    Bachelor's degree in English, journalism, or related field.
    3-5 years of experience in grant writing, or related field.
    Superior knowledge and proven experience writing proposals to large corporations, foundation, and government donors.
    Understanding of financial and technical requirements for large grants.
    Superior writing, research, project management, and organizational skills.

    Experience crafting LOIs, concept papers, proposals, and stewardship materials with aptitude for creating budgets, designing logic models, and drafting compelling case statements.

    Ability to successfully execute multiple, simultaneous projects on time with quality results.


    WHAT YOU WILL DO


    Maintains and expands support for Hope's programs by overseeing the execution of grants and RFP's, including research, and prospecting, proposal and report writing.

    Initiates ongoing communication with key staff to analyze funding needs, gaps, and opportunities.
    Researches, identifies, and qualifies funding opportunities from corporate, foundation, and state and federal government sources.

    Manages efficient operational system to ensure accurate records and timely communication with funders; oversees grants calendar and maintains up-to-date database records for all institutional donors.

    Collects and produces information about Hope's programs as needed to make the strongest case for support.
    Develops a deep understanding of program content to ensure integrity and quality of proposal writing.


    WHAT WE PREFER
    Master's degree in related field.
    Prior experience executing large state and federal RFPs.
    Successful track record of securing significant multi-year contracts or commitments.
    Ability to lead and manage the grant writing process while working with several key team members.
