    Location: Georgia /Alabama /Tennessee /California

    Summary/Objective:

    Reporting to the Area Service Manager, you'll be in charge of providing direct machine startup, repair service, and technical assistance within our customers' facilities to ensure their satisfaction. You will follow the guidelines outlined in the Field Service Engineer Guidelines. Here are the core functions and duties of the position:

    • Follow the daily schedule provided by the Area Service Manager to visit and service customers' machinery.
    • Tackle electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical issues to assure customers that problems are being resolved.
    • For new injection Molding machines: conduct startup procedures, offer assistance with Molding, and provide operator and maintenance training.
    • Produce accurate field service reports detailing on-site services, encountered problems, safety issues, hours worked, and expenses incurred.
    • Maintain and handle all company-issued tools, property, and confidential information properly.
    • Project a positive image through attitude, appearance, and professionalism in line with company standards.
    • Produce clear and timely field service reports and expense reports for submission to the home office.
    • Efficiently manage time and travel arrangements to control costs effectively.
    • Offer temporary phone support during technical support or management vacancies due to employee absence.
    • Perform any additional duties as assigned by the supervisor.

    Key Accountabilities:

    • Evaluation will be based on the position's accountabilities.
    • Provide on-site machine support through part replacement, troubleshooting, or maintenance of all 5 SDNA brands.
    • Accurate service reporting and documentation per job, customer, and machine.

    Key Performance Indicators:

    • Track overall callback rates per Field Service Engineer (FSE) by brand.
    • Adherence to timely service reporting and expense reporting.

    Education And Experience:

    • Minimum of a two-year technical degree in electronics or relevant experience in the plastics industry.
    • Proficiency in electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical repair and troubleshooting.
    • Prior field service experience in troubleshooting and repair of injection Molding machines.
    • Possess qualities that drive superior performance over average performance.
    • Bachelor's degree in a technical field (Preferred).

    Travel:

    • Extensive travel required to customer locations.
    • Valid driver's license is mandatory.
    • No travel restrictions should be in place.
    • Up to 90% travel expected.
