The Defensive Cyber Technologies (DCT) Group is seeking a Senior Cyber Software Engineer to be part of a multidisciplinary team of researchers and engineers dedicated to developing cutting-edge cyber tools with significant and immediate impact on our national security.
    Software Engineers in the DCT Group rapidly develop and prototype software systems that provide strong security guarantees which leverage formal methods and our deep experience in vulnerability analysis. In this role, you'll lead the design and development of tools to support advanced vulnerability analysis. Candidates should have strong interest and/or experience in some or all of the following cyber domains: cyber-related software engineering, fuzzing, program analysis, DevSecOps, formal methods, vulnerability research, reverse engineering and binary lifting/decompilation.
    Requirements:

    • Ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret (TS) Security Clearance
    • Experience with dynamic analysis and fuzzing
    • Experience with tool development, software engineering, modular software architecting
    • Proficiency with programming languages such as C, C++, Python, and Rust
    • Proficiency with Linux development environments


    Education:

    • MS with 2+ years of relevant experience (or BS with 5+ years of relevant experience) in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mathematics, or related field


    Preferred:

    • Active Security Clearance at the TS level
    • Familiarity with compilers and/or programming language design
    • Experience with reverse-engineering and vulnerability assessment techniques
    • Knowledge of operating system internals (e.g., scheduling, data structures)
    • Experience with uncommon architectures and embedded systems
    • Experience with virtualization, ideally QEMU
