    Description
    POSITION OVERVIEW:

    To perform radiographic and/or imaging examinations and procedures at a technical level not requiring constant supervision, but under the direction of the radiologist and/or ordering physician for diagnosis, and possibly treatment. Assumes responsibility for designated areas of department operation as trained and required.

    The Weekend Option status is an agreement to work forty-nine (49) out of fifty-two (52) weekends per year and has specific terms regarding pay rate, insurance eligibility, and PTO accrual.

    QUALIFICATIONS:
    • Graduate of an accredited program for Radiologic Technology.
    • Currently registered, or registry eligible, by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists.
    • Currently holds an Iowa "Permit to Practice Diagnostic Radiography" (classification "general") from the Iowa Department of Public Health.
    • Completion and documentation of appropriate training requirements for additional imaging modalities such as mammography when indicated by area of responsibility.
    • Continuous Training: Must maintain continuing education standards to meet requirements of the "Permit to Practice" as set by the Iowa Department of Public Health as well as those required by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists.
    ACCOUNTABILITY:

    Reports to Radiology Manager and Radiology Supervisor
