    Description

    A New Truck Sales Representative is responsible for soliciting truck sales business within an assigned territory, typically in-person and regularly away from the assigned work location or dealership.

    About Us

    Rush Enterprises, Inc. opens the door to the world of opportunity. We are the largest network of commercial vehicle dealerships across the US representing truck and bus manufacturers. Our franchises include Peterbilt, International, Hino, Isuzu, Ford, IC Bus and Blue Bird.

    Responsibilities

    • Solicit new business opportunities with existing and new accounts within assigned territory.
    • Maintain relationships within assigned territory and make personal sales calls at a customer's location to maximize sales success, at least three full business days a week.
    • Build and maintain a strong pipeline of sales opportunities by regularly spending time outside of the office making sales calls and following up on generated quotes.
    • Utilize Microsoft CRM for managing accounts and contacts, documenting all communications and business interactions weekly.
    • Coordinate service work with the service department and finance teams to ensure seamless transactions.
    • Self-generate prospective Truck Warranties, RushCare Contract Maintenance, and RushCare telematics sales, identifying customers' overall business needs.
    • Meet monthly sales targets and maintain productivity requirements as outlined in company standards.

    Requirements

    • High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
    • One year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred.
    • Valid driver's license and insurability according to company insurance requirements.

    Skills and Abilities

    • Regular vehicle travel within assigned territory.
    • Meet account management, productivity, and performance requirements as outlined in company standards.
    • Conduct business ethically and professionally, maintaining a favorable impression of self and the company.
    • Maintain a safe work environment by observing safety procedures and requiring staff to follow safety rules and regulations.
