    Position Summary:

    The UNL Business Development Intern supports a variety of UBT initiatives at UNL on City, East and Innovation Campus at The Univeristy of Nebraska Lincoln.

    This professional will build and foster relationships, plan and participate in events, lead marketing and project initiatives, facilitate presentations, manage monthly budgets, attend internal and external business meetings and grow portfolios.


    Essential Functions:

    • Support new and current relationships with in the UNL community of faculty, staff, administration and student population.
    • Attend monthly UNL new employee orientation events.
    • Attend internal and external business meetings and networking events.
    • Participate in the planning and execution of all New Student Enrollment events including daily info sessions and parent sprint session presentations.
    • Assist in all marketing initatives including Welcome Back Events and Homecoming Sponsorship.
    • Co-facilitate financial literacy presentations at UNL participant's request.
    • Assist in reviewing and monitoring monthly budgets.
    • Assist in focusing on depsoit and loan portfolio growth.
    • Rotate amongst the following departments to gain an understanding of their divisions including Ag Loans, Mortgage Loans, Commercial Loans, and Credit.
    • Understand and adhere to all bank policies, laws and regulations applicable to their role. Complete compliance training; follow internal processes and controls as required.
    • Report all compliance issues, violations of law or regulations in accordance with the steps defined in bank policies.
    • Perform other job-related duties or special projects as assigned.
    • Regular and reliable attendance is an essential function of this position.

    Qualifications:
    Currently

    • Currently taking classes toward a Bachelor's degree in business, finance or marketing.
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office products.
    • Valid Nebraska Driver's License.

    Working Environment:
    Sedentary work – occasionally lifting and/or carrying up to 25 lbs.
    Indoor work – not exposed to outdoor elements or hazards.
    Some travel required, especially within the Lincoln area.
