To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we're looking to add a/an Cost Accountant located in Salt Lake City, Utah.
Reporting to the Finance Director the Cost Accountant role will be responsible for preparing and maintaining accounting records and analyzing and interpreting accounting records in order to give advice or prepare statements.
Reconcile trial balance accounts within individual's responsibility.
Prepare/Review Journal Vouchers with appropriate supporting documentation.
Adhere to Direct Material Standard Cost, Capitalization or Direct Labor and Manufacture Overhead in Inventory, Monthly Purchase Price Variance, Cycle Counting, and Inventory transfer policy.
Ensure corporate reporting deadlines are met for designated reports.Ensure budget, schedules and performance requirements are met.
Be familiar with relevant Accounting, regulatory and reporting requirements in accordance with GAAP.
Monthly financial periodic closing, analysis and reporting.
The experience we're looking to add to our team:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related field or equivalent experience and training.
Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
Effective communication, negotiation, and leadership skills
Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference
Have an understanding ERP system and excel proficiency
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
