    ANNOUNCEMENT OF VACANCY

    POSITION:
    Speech and Language Pathologist (Act 18 Funded)


    • Position - Hoover, LPHS
    And any positions that result from the filling of this posting


    QUALIFICATIONS:

    • Valid Certification for Speech & Language Pathologist (ASHA)
    • Board of Education reserves the right to modify qualifications
    • Experience working with students with ASD preferred
    • Must meet requirements of State and Federal laws and regulations
    • Experience working with students with ASD required
    • Experience working in a center based program preferred
    • Experience with Core Vocabulary, AAC devices, assistive technology, and visual supports preferred
    Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Board of Education and/or Superintendent may find appropriate and acceptable


    DUTIES:

    • Provide speech therapy to students with IEPs
    • Administer and interpret diagnostic test batteries, manage referrals for Special Education
    • Work collaboratively with multi-disciplinary team
    • Participate in behavior planning meetings, wraparound meetings
    • Utilize MTSS/RTI
    • Participate in student success team meetings
    • Implement trauma-informed/resiliency based strategies & interventions
    • Implement building wide PBIS
    • Maintain compliance with special education timelines, required paperwork and documentation
    • Maintain a philosophy in accordance with the Special Education Department and the Lincoln Park Public Schools
    • Document accurately all services in a clear effective manner
    Other duties as assigned


    RESPONSIBLE TO:
    Executive Director of Special Education, Special Education Supervisor, and Building Principal


    WORK SCHEDULE:
    According to School Calendar and building schedules


    SALARY:
    According to LPEA Master Agreement
