    Responsibilities:

    Team Select Home Care is looking for a Senior Accountant to join our Team Select family. The Senior Accountant (SSA) is responsible for applying accounting principles and procedures to analyze financial information, prepare accurate and timely financial reports/statements and ensure appropriate accounting control procedures. The Senior Accountant will report directly to the Accounting Manager.

    • Generates, analyzes, reviews and communicates financial data that reflects actual financial performance to the budget.
    • Performs essential tasks for the month end close process
    • Ensures financial records are maintained in compliance with accepted policies and procedures
    • Ensures all financial reporting deadlines are met
    • Reconciles all corporate bank accounts on a daily basis and documents
    • Ensures accurate and timely monthly and year end close
    • Establishes and monitors the implementation and maintenance of accounting control procedures
    • Resolves accounting discrepancies and irregularities
    • Ensures accurate and appropriate recording and analysis of revenues and expenses
    • Analyzes and advises on business operations including revenue and expenditure trends, financial commitments and future revenues
    • Analyzes financial information to recommend or develop efficient use of resources and procedures, provide strategic recommendations and maintain solutions to business and financial problems
    • Maintains electronic and paper records as necessary
    • Performs other duties as assigned by Controller
    • Maintains strict confidentiality on patient, employee and agency matters
    • Perform other tasks as assigned
    Qualifications:
    • Accounting degree or equivalent
    • Knowledge of accepted accounting practices and principles
    • Knowledge of economic principles
    • Knowledge of auditing practices and principles
    • A minimum of 3 years experience in the management of financial systems and budgets, financial reporting, financial data analysis, auditing or taxation
