Process Engineer - Plastic Extrusion

Pay: $80k - $95k

Philadelphia, PA

Responsibilities

• Design tooling and develop processes for mono and co-extrusion plastic profiles, tubes and secondary fabrication.
• Lead new tooling development processes to meet customer expectation with quality and on time delivery of material samples.
• Coordinate needs for new products with Die Development, Technicians, Production Manager and other involved in producing first article samples.
• Work on continuous improvement projects for efficiencies & reduce scrap.

Qualifications

• BS in Engineering or similar (preferred).
• Three (3) - Five (5) years of plastic extrusion, die design and process development.
• EDM machining knowledge and single screw extrusion experience (preferred).
• Proficient usage of SolidWorks, AutoCAD and CAD/CAM software.
• Familiarity with polycarbonate, acrylic, nylon, polyurethane, polystyrene, polyethylene, elastomeric materials, PVC, etc.
