    The job

    The Technical Support Coordinator (TSC) is an essential part of the Global Service Department and is responsible for supporting the service organization through timely, accurate and detailed quoting, and proposal generation. Technically knowledgeable about Haarslev equipment and spare parts in order to support the customer's needs as well as the needs of the organization. Ability to use system's software to troubleshoot equipment, generate technical and spare parts solutions, maintain customer install base, and data input and maintenance.

    You will report to the Customer Service Manager and be a part of the Global Service team in North America.

    Tasks and responsibilities

    • Responsible for the generation of recommended spare parts lists for Commercial and Projects groups.
    • Responds to the needs of customers with a phone call by collecting necessary information, determining the appropriate solution, developing a plan of action, and implementing and overseeing the plan to resolve the customer's issue.
    • Provide technical solutions and expertise to customers, Global Service team members, and Sales.
    • Handle situations that may require extensive research according to the customer's need.
    • Live and work inside the Service Delivery Process.
    • Prepare quotes and proposals for Haarslev equipment and spare parts.
    • Receive and maintain data pertaining to customer install base.
    • Communicate necessary updates to Haarslev parts manuals and drawings.
    • Develop Standard Operating Procedures and Preventative Maintenance Schedules.
    • Play an active role in developing documentation and drawings for new and existing products.
    • Assist in transition of documentation from old database systems to current systems.
    • Design, basic engineering, and estimating of aftermarket retrofit/upgrade kits.
    • Understand/read CAD drawings/ manuals/ machine breakdowns

    We're on the lookout for a Technical Support Coordinator who:
    • A bachelor's degree is preferred or equivalent job experience.
    • Knowledge or experience in the field of rendering or food processing, OEM is preferred.
    • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills as well as the ability to handle multiple tasks and priorities at once.
    • Proficient with Microsoft Office, Sage 100 experience is a plus.
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
    • Attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and accuracy is a must have; strong analytical mindset, problem solving skills, technical aptitude, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
    • Must be adaptable and able to effectively handle ever-changing conditions.
    • Be willing to be on call after hours as needed.
    • Ability to be self-sufficient in the role and have a strong desire for advancement within the organization.

    The recruitment process
