Job Description:
The Linux Systems Support Specialist is responsible for providing support for implementation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of Linux IT systems.
This role involves managing the daily activities of configuration and operation of IT systems, analyzing system logs, identifying potential issues with end-user systems, servers, storage devices, and network devices, and installing and configuring approved hardware and software.
Additionally, the specialist will be responsible for user account management, including adding, removing, and updating user accounts, as well as answering technical questions and assisting enterprise users through phone, email, or deskside support.
Other responsibilities include properly documenting all issues in the ticketing system, maintenance log, and/or configuration system, troubleshooting reported issues, documenting configuration and configuration changes, and recommending ways to increase efficiency or improve processes.
