    Description

    We're looking to add another Cooling Tower Mechanic to our team in the Jacksonville Area We're looking for someone with basic mechanical skills or who brings years of experience to the table (HVAC and mechanic backgrounds are highly encouraged to apply) The purpose of this position is to assist with the construction, erection, installation, and repair of structures and fixtures of cooling towers. Reliable transportation to various job sites is required. Background check and drug screen prior to start.

    salary: $41,000 - $46,000 per year
    shift: First
    work hours: 7 AM - 4 PM
    education: High School

    Responsibilities

    • Assists with marking cutting and assembly lines on materials
    • Assists with the erection of framework
    • Fits and installs material as needed
    • Assists with the erection of scaffolding and the assembly of ladders
    • Maintain a clean worksite by making sure worksite is free of debris and trash
    • Provide crew with needed materials to perform the job
    • Roll-out tools at the beginning of the workday and put away tools at the end of the workday
    • Run extension cords as needed
    • Bolt and nail structure as directed
    • Signal operators of construction equipment to facilitate alignment, movement, and adjustment of machinery to conform to grade specifications.
    • Additional tasks as assigned by the foreman and/or Superintendent
    The essential functions of this role include:
    • working in a smoke free environment
    • wearing steel toe shoes
    • working in a non-temperature controlled environment
    • manual lifting up to 49lbs
    • standing for 8 hours at one time
