Summary

Duties
The Atlanta VA Health Care System is recruiting for multiple full-time Physician (Psychiatrist) positions in Mental Health Service. VA offers a comprehensive total rewards package. VHA Physician Total Rewards.
Education Debt Reduction Program (Student Loan Repayment): This position is eligible for the Education Debt Reduction Program (EDRP), a student loan payment reimbursement program. You must meet specific individual eligibility requirements in accordance with VHA policy and submit your EDRP application within four months of appointment. Approval, award amount (up to $200,000) and eligibility period (one to five years) are determined by the VHA Education Loan Repayment Services program office after complete review of the EDRP application. Pay: Competitive salary, annual performance bonus, regular salary increases
Paid Time Off: 50-55 days of paid time off per year (26 days of annual leave, 13 days of sick leave, 11 paid Federal holidays per year and possible 5 day paid absence for CME)

Duties Include but not limited to:
FUNCTIONS:
Clinical Responsibilities:
1. Maintains a clinical caseload including individual and/or group treatment at the Atlanta VAMC. Exact nature of clinical responsibilities may vary depending on incumbent's areas of expertise and service line needs.
2. Provides psychiatric care to Veterans at the Atlanta VAMC Emergency Room, to include triage, stabilization, hospitalization or disposition planning, as well as to Veterans evaluated and treated on the inpatient psychiatry unit.
Academic/Teaching/Training:
Provides supervision, guidance, teaching and consultation to Atlanta VAMC MHSL clinical staff including psychiatry residents and fellows as well as other clinical trainees and clinical staff.Work Schedule: Various tours
