    The UNMDivision of Human Resources is seeking a progressive, collaborative andcustomer focused Training and Development Consultant. This Consultant will joina talented and cohesive team within HR's Employee and OrganizationalDevelopment department (EOD).     Under limited supervision,conducts training/development needs analyses and assessments on anorganizational, community, and/or individual basis, and develops and implementsspecified training and development programs and initiatives to meet assessedneeds.

    Provides leadership and guidance to other training and developmentspecialists, instructors, and/or external consultants, as appropriate tospecific program objectives.

    Duties and responsibilities:
    Conducts individual, group, and organization-based training and development needs analyses and assessment using a variety of instructional techniques.

    Based on assessed need, plans, develops, and delivers or coordinates the delivery of individual and/or group training and instructional programs, encompassing a wide range of technical, operational, management, and/or other skills areas.

    Develops or oversees the development of training curricula; formulates or reviews training outlines and determines appropriate instructional methodologies and formats; evaluates and recommends incorporation of vendor programs, as appropriate to meet overall training goals and objectives.

    Oversees and coordinates the development and preparation of teaching and visual aids, instructional materials, videos, online based learning, SOP's, computer tutorials, and reference materials appropriate to specific program objectives.

    As appropriate to the individual position, assists in the coordination, facilitates, and/or conducts specified development activities, such as planning retreats, team building programs, leadership development programs and other activities.

    Evaluates effectiveness of training and development programs and utilizes relevant evaluation data to revise or recommend changes in instructional objectives and methods.

    Assists in administrative tasks such as scheduling classes, setting up facilitations, coordinating enrollment, and providing support to consultants.
    Coordinates workflow and administrative activities necessary to deliver and document unit programs and activities.
    Provides assistance with several ongoing annual projects such as the Engagement Survey, Mandatory Training, Performance Evaluation and Supervisor training.

    Provides input and assists in the planning, assessment, and implementation of organizational goals and objectives, in line with overall university goals and objectives.

    Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.

    Employees who provide services or work in patient care or clinical areas are required to be in compliance with the University's influenza vaccination requirement.

    Minimum Qualifications


    Successful completion of at least 60 college-level credit hours; at least 4 years of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.

    Completed degree(s) from an accredited institution that are above the minimum education requirement may be substituted for experience on a year for year basis.

    Preferred Qualifications
    Bachelor's Degree
    Experience with E-Learning tools
    Skills in facilitating and leading strategic planning and organizational development interventions.
    Advanced verbal and written communication skills.
    Experience working in a higher education institution
