    Job Description and Duties

    JOB SUMMARY:
    The Health Facilities Evaluator Nurse (HFEN) conducts inspections, investigations, surveys, and evaluations of health facilities for conformity with licensing and certification requirements. Responsibilities include advising healthcare facility administrators on inspection, licensing, and certification programs while ensuring compliance with state and federal laws. Extensive travel is required.

    Candidates must be California residents. Non-residents may be interviewed but must establish residency in California before employment.

    DUTY STATEMENT:

    - Conducts surveys to determine compliance with licensing and certification requirements.
    - Interviews patients for necessary information while maintaining confidentiality.
    - Determines compliance with laws and regulations and prepares documentation accordingly.
    - Provides testimony to support legal actions related to healthcare compliance.

    - Assists in local programs to improve compliance in healthcare facilities.
    - Attends training sessions to stay informed on industry trends.
    - Advises healthcare facility administrators on state requirements.

    Located in the Central Valley, Stockton offers a convenient location with easy access to major cities and amenities.
