JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY
The Client Services Specialist is responsible for assistng with the overall direction of private duty services.

The specialist assists with implementation and evaluates goals and objectives for quality services which meet and promote the standards of quality and contribute to the total organization and philosophy.

Coordinates client care, schedules field staff, and communicates well with field staff and other agency personnel. Specializes in the rules and regulations governing the client base they are responsible for.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS/RESPONSIBILITES

Coordinates and oversees directand indirect client services provided by agency personnel.

Reviews available clientinformation to determine private duty needs. Assigns appropriate personnel.

Reviews and evaluates each caseby reviewing the services requested, conferences, record reviews, anddiscussions.

Instructs and guides personnel to promote more effectiveperformance and delivery of quality private duty services and is alwaysavailable during operating hours to assist personnel as appropriate.

Facilitates case conferencemeetings (as needed) with agency personnel to facilitate coordination ofservices.

Assits with quarterlyrecord reviews and supervisory visits. Communicates findings andrecommendations to appropriate agency personnel.

Promotes the planning, implementation,and evaluation of in-service and continuing education programs.

Provides guidance and counseling to staff to assist themin continually improving all aspects of private duty services.

Interprets operationalindicators to detect census changes and increases or decreases in volume thatcould impact staffing levels, revenues, or expenses.

Educates service deliverypersonnel to develop skills and techniques to provide safe, effective care toclients.

Assist Client Service Manager conduct90 day, and annual evaluations of direct reports, ormore frequently if indicated.

Maintains client records, statistics, reports,and records for evaluation and reporting of agency activities.

Ensures proper maintenance ofclient records as prescribed and in compliance with local, state, and federallaws.

Maintains or delegates themaintenance of adequate and appropriate inventory supplies and equipment forclient services.

Participates in development, implementation,and evaluation of the orientation program for new agency personnel. Orients ordelegates orientation of new agency personnel.

Assists with the evaluation oforganization performance via performance improvement program, productivity,quarterly and annual reviews. Assures high quality and safe delivery ofservices provided through Spoon River Home Health Services.

Assists in the development oforganization goals. Develops, recommends, and administers Organization policiesand procedures.

Assures compliance with local, state,and federal laws regarding licensure and certification of agency personnel asapplicable.

Stays informed about changes inprivate duty, non-medical care; shares information with appropriate agencypersonnel.

Promotes private duty referralsin the health care community.

Assists in the formulation,revision, implementation, and evaluation of policies and procedures, andstrategic goals and objectives.

Demonstrates behaviors thatsupport Spoon River Home Health Services missionand values.

Assist Billing with ensuringproper payment for provided services are billed andreceived promptly.

Available Mon-Fri during officehours with on-call responsibilities for evenings, weekends, and holidays on arotation basis.

Must be able to staff clientsas needed.

Other duties as assigned.
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS

Must be a licensed driver withan automobile that is insured in accordance with state and agency requirementsand is in good working order.

MUST BE A CRITICAL THINKER AND HAVE AMAZING PROBLEM SOLVING SKILLS.

Has excellent observation andcommunication skills.

Is self-directed with theability to work with little supervision.

Is flexible and cooperative infulfilling obligations.

Possesses and maintains goodphysical stamina and mental health.
