    Job Description


    The University of Pittsburgh Physicians (UPP), Section of Hospital Medicine is seeking Board Eligible or Board-Certified Internal Medicine physicians to join our dynamic and growing academic hospitalist programs across multiple UPMC sites in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.


    Physicians will provide comprehensive inpatient care to hospitalized patients from admission through discharge, including performing detailed histories and physical examinations, developing and implementing evidence-based treatment plans, and coordinating care to optimize outcomes.

    Hospitalists will strategize to improve and manage patient health while safely reducing length of stay through high-quality, efficient medical practices.


    Physicians work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary care team alongside other hospitalists, Advanced Practice Providers (APPs), Residents, and Fellows, fostering a team-based approach to patient care.

    Positions typically follow a 7-on/7-off schedule with 12-hour shifts, and both day and night opportunities are available.
