    Description


    RLI Underwriting Services, a specialty contact center, is seeking a Associate Customer Service Agent with solid personal and commercial lines experience to support all operations.

    This role functions in a busy and fast paced environment.

    The ideal candidate for this role will possess exceptional customer service and interpersonal skills as well as the ability to manage time effectively and meet required service levels.

    Under general supervision, this position will be responsible for the following duties:

    Provide basic operational and customer support to administrators, agents, brokers and policyholders.

    Effectively communicate via telephone, chat or email with various internal or external channels.

    In response to basic inquiries, research and develop the appropriate answer based on customer channel.

    Effectively communicate with the Lindbergh Insurance Group team to ensure proper handling of operational and customer inquiries.


    Keep accurate records of customer interactions and transactions, recording details of inquiries, complaints and comments, as well as actions taken.


    In response to inquiries from customers, prepare quotes and bind coverage for RLI insurance products, ensuring alignment with the customer's needs.

    Assist with other duties as needed.

    Required Skills


    Must have good interpersonal and communication skills and be sensitive, adaptable, professional, and articulate when dealing with internal and external customer channels.

    Personal and/or commercial P&C insurance knowledge preferred.

    Ability to provide excellent customer service support in a timely and friendly manner.

    Detail oriented with good organizational skills.

    Ability to follow procedures as outlined by management

    Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and prioritize duties in a fast-paced environment.

    Ability to perform quality work while meeting processing deadlines.

    Experience supporting niche insurance products preferred.

    Required Experience


    Requires a high school diploma or its equivalent and 1-2 years of experience in a similar position supporting personal lines and/or commercial lines preferred.

    P&C license is preferred but will be required within 6 months of employment.


    Qualifications:

    GENERAL ACCOUNTING

    • Performs month end close duties – create and key journal entries, income statement and balance sheet review, etc.
    • Analyzes departmental spending variances.
    • Creates and distributes KPI summary and other ad hoc reports for management of Operations.
    • Reconciles multiple balance sheet accounts monthly – cash, prepaids, inventory, liabilities, etc.
    • Assists Plant Controller in developing quarterly forecasts and annual budget.
    • Responsible for fixed asset tracking and capital spending management with the support of the Plant Controller.
    • Performs other similar or related duties, as requested or assigned.




    COST ACCOUNTING

    • Reviews and sets standard cost on new manufactured part numbers and releases work orders to the production floor in a timely manner.
    • Sets standard costs for new purchased parts.
    • Posts production work orders to general ledger daily.
    • Analyzes changes in product design, raw materials, manufacturing methods or services provided to determine effects on cost.
    • Identifies BOM and costing errors; works with engineering department to make corrections
    • Researches and determines root cause for large work order variances; takes preventative action to keep problems from recurring.
    • Supports annual Physical Inventory and reviews inventory variances.
