    The Clinical Director's primary responsibility is to provide clinical direction and oversight to ensure the delivery of high-quality CCBHC mental health and behavioral services.

    You will play a pivotal role in shaping the clinical environment and fostering a culture of excellence within the department.

    The Team clinical director is responsible for the following duties and responsibilities

    POSITION SPECIFIC DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

    Clinical Leadership:

    • Provide strong clinical leadership to group of mental health professionals, collaborate with staff to ensure that care is client centered and that clients receive individualized, evidence-based care tailored to their unique needs and preferences. Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to design, develop, and continuously enhance treatment programs and services.

    • Stay current with best practices, evidence-based interventions, and emerging trends in the field of behavioral health to inform program development. Ensure that all clinical activities adhere to ethical standards and legal requirements

    CCBHC leadership:

    • Provide effective CCBHC leadership to ensure care is delivered using a whole person care model to address clients (1)mental health and substance use disorder treatment needs (2)physical health needs and (3) social services and supports as follows:
    • The clinical director is responsible for providing clinical direction and oversight for the Mental Health and Substance Use Disorder Services provided by CCBHC.

    • Comprehensive care and treatment planning
    • Outpatient services
    • 24/7 Crisis services
    • Individual rehabilitation
    • The clinical director works closely with CCBHC Director of Integrated Health and Nursing Services who provides the subject matter expertise to guide coordination and direction to improve clients health outcomes by addressing physical health needs of client

    Service requirements:

    Health promotion and wellness activities, Medical care planning and care coordination, Primary care screening, Monitoring of key health indicators and health risks, Nursing services and HIE.

    The nurses will report to this position

    • The clinical director works closely with CCBHC Director of case management and PRSS services (Allied behavioral healthcare services)- who provides the subject matter expertise for social services and supports including : coordination and direction of CCBHC targeted case management, care coordination, individual rehab curriculum, coaching , peer recovery support services, social determinants of health driven by poverty including basic needs, housing, transportation, utilities ,Education, vocational and employment services and outreach.
    • Ensure Care plan for each client address all services necessary to assist the client in meeting his or her physical, behavioral health and social service goals, and include the following: Client diagnosis, treatment goals, interventions, type, duration &frequency of services, and medication.

    Clinical Supervision:

    • Provide clinical supervision to clinical supervisors, ensuring adherence to ethical and professional standards. Conduct regular case reviews, clinical audits, and performance evaluations to maintain high clinical standards
    • Serve as direct supervisor to Clinical Supervisors
    • Ensure clinical supervisors identify strengths and areas of improvement of their direct reports; develop core competencies of direct service staff and evaluate performance
    • Document and provide regular supervision and professional development opportunities for clinical Supervisors
    • Evaluate Clinical Supervisor and crisis supervisor in the areas of clinical knowledge and assessment skills, therapy EBT models, case management, work habits, productivity, and quality assurance.
    • Develop professional growth plans for supervisees
    • Ensure clinical staff are receiving supervision and review supervision logs on a regular basis to ensure compliance with agency standards and accreditation requirements.

    Clinical development:

    • Foster a culture of excellence, continuous learning, and professional development among clinical staff through clinical training, supervision, mentoring and professional development opportunities to enhance staff skills and knowledge
    • Facilitate ongoing training and professional development opportunities for clinical staff to enhance their skills and knowledge. Work closely with training department to support the professional growth and development of clinical staff
    • Inspire staff to deliver superior customer service and the highest quality of care.
    • Stay current with developments in behavioral health regarding research and best practices.
    • Identify, ensure training, and implement Evidence Based Treatments and clinical pathways.
    • Ensure Staff obtain necessary training for identified EBTs and appropriate clinical interventions for populations served and required licensure and certification CEU's

    Crisis Management:

    • Be prepared to provide guidance and leadership during crisis situations, including developing crisis intervention protocols and ensuring staff are trained in crisis response.
    • Provide direct crisis intervention in the absence of clinical supervisor or Crisis consultant
    • Assist with 43A Licensed Mental Health Professional (LMHP) statements and CCOP consults as needed.
    • Provide real time support to staff serving clients that are undergoing acute crises and help clients experiencing other distressing issues.
    • Provide clinical leadership when needed in crisis situations. This could include case consultation or working directly with a client.
    • Consult with F&CS Crisis Intervention team and agency Suicidologist for complex & difficult client situations

    Oversee clinical documentation:

    • Oversee accurate and timely documentation of clinical services, client progress, and outcomes, quality measures and other clinical records in compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
    • Prepare and present reports when requested.

    Quality Assurance:
    Establish and monitor clinical quality assurance processes, including outcome measurement to assess the effectiveness of treatment modalities and interventions.


    • Lead clinical PDSA process improvement activities to improve quality and clinical outcomes.
    • Provide counsel and expert advice to the leadership team and other staff
    • Lead program efforts in preparing for audits, contract reviews, and accreditation visits.
    • Ensure participation in agency wide PQI program, workgroups and committees.
    * implement corrective actions as needed to maintain high levels of service quality

    • Identify, implement, monitor, and maintain program-specific quality improvement initiatives.
    • Ensure actions are taken in response to quality improvement plans of correction identified through agency wide and program specific peer review, outcome review, and Unusual Occurrence Reports.
    • Promote all PQI and Risk Management Pillars to staff.
    • Provide PQI reports when requested.
    • Stay abreast of industry regulations, agency policy, certification and accreditation standards

    SAFETY SENSITIVE JOB CLASSIFICATION:
    This job is classified as a "safety-sensitive" position as defined by the Oklahoma Medical Marijuana and Patient Protection Act.

    Due to the "safety-sensitive" classification, an employee in this position would be subject to drug and alcohol testing, including random testing.

    Marijuana is one of the substances included in the drug panel screening.

    Possession of a medical marijuana license will not excuse you from the testing process or the consequences of testing positive for marijuana per the Family & Children's Services Drug Free Workplace Policy, including possible revocation of a job offer or dismissal from employment.
