- 8 years of experience in a high-volume manufacturing plant, especially in a similar industry
- Train, instruct, and supervise employees using established production methods to ensure a quality product is made safely and efficiently to meet production demands
- Assign work, source parts, and communicate production requirements to employees, as well as conduct quality and safety audits and submit maintenance requests
- Maintain a secure work environment.
- Achieve or exceed company targets for safety, quality, cost, and delivery
- Record and finalize production reports, scrap tickets, accident reports, and disciplinary notices while advocating and enforcing company policies, safety regulations, and operational instructions
- Compare actual performance with planned objectives and implement corrective measures as necessary to achieve goals.
- Use precise measuring tools to monitor key performance indicators, identify unfavorable trends, and take appropriate action.
- Meet key performance indicators such as Quality, Safety, Productivity, Scrap Rates, Labor Efficiencies, On-time Delivery, Machine Downtime, and Inventory Levels to ensure smooth operations.
- Proactively apply Lean tools to enhance operational efficiency, reduce expenses, and enhance quality and safety outcomes.
- Complete necessary system tasks: Mapics, Kronos, Zone, etc.
- Follows Company policies, work procedures, and safety regulations
- Acts as a resource for the Plant Manager and others in resolving challenging problems and matters.
- Depends on experience and judgment to plan and achieve assigned tasks and objectives.
- Offers guidance to employees, orients, trains, assigns work, and manages performance.
- Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
- Familiarity with MS Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, Word)
- Thorough understanding of manufacturing operations
- Demonstrated leadership abilities, capability to train and nurture employees
- Effective verbal and written communication skills to engage with staff and senior management,
- Quick and effective problem-solving within a dynamic manufacturing setting
- Robust organizational and time management abilities.
