    Description

    The Nutrition Services Manager is responsible for managing the daily operations of food service to provide the highest quality food to patients, staff, and visitors. The manager provides oversight of the cafeteria and bistro. This position creates a supportive environment which encourages maximum employee performance through participative management and the recognition of each employee's value to the organization. Develops and monitors annual budget.

    Work Schedule: 1.0 FTE M-F 9-5 or as needed

    Required Qualifications:

    • Bachelors degree OR High school graduate and previous equivalent experience
    • Food Manager Certificate from the Minnesota Department of Health
    • 2-4 years of supervisory experience in quantity food preparation
    • Must be able to direct, control and supervise personnel and activities of the cafeteria and bistro
    • Demonstrates appropriate decision making and problem solving skills in managing food service staff
    • Sets an example for staff members and encourages a positive attitude and team approach
    • Working knowledge and understanding of policies, procedures and regulations
    • Demonstrates professionalism, leadership, assertiveness, flexibility, initiative, fairness, accountability, responsibility, confidence, and self-discipline

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Degree in nutrition/dietetics
    • Registered Dietetic Technician Health
    • Food services experience in a healthcare setting
