    PORT ADMINISTRATION

    Department: Transportation - Port Administration

    Location: Falcon Office - Wilmington, CA

    Classification: Full-Time, Non-exempt

    Drayage Customer Service Manager

    Position Summary

    Ecology Auto Parts Inc. is looking to fill the role of a Customer Service Clerk (CSC) to join our Port Division. The CSC plays a critical supporting role in the administration of driver and customer documents, processes driver payroll, and serves as billing support within the company's Transportation Management Software (TMS). This position is part of a larger team within the company's drayage department that reports to the Financial Planning & Analysis Director.

    Responsibilities

    • Process driver payroll (order runs and purchase orders) into Microsoft Access using Ecology Auto Parts, Inc. code system.
    • Validate driver manifests and order documents against Transportation Management Software (TMS) itinerary.
    • Communicate with Dispatch Operations to clarify or correct driver manifest errors/notes.
    • Correct manifest errors/notes to capture driver workload accurately.
    • Request run codes and report rate issues to management promptly to meet payroll deadlines.
    • Manage high volume paperwork during transition to paperless workload.
    • Other duties as assigned.
    Requirements:


    Qualifications/Knowledge/Critical Skills

    • High School/GED REQUIRED Associates degree preferred
    • 1-2 year(s) customer service in trucking/transportation/drayage experience preferred
    • 1 year Transportation Management System or Profit Tools (TMS) experience preferred
    • Strong skills in Microsoft Office Suite particularly Outlook, Excel, Access, and Word
    • Strong organization, communication, and data entry skills
    • Clear and concise verbal and written communication skills
    • Flexible, initiative-taking, and actively seeking process improvements

    Physical Demands/Environmental Factors

    • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear
    • Occasionally required to stand and walk
    • Must frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds
    • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus

    Compensation

    The Port Department Customer Service Representative position offers a competitive hourly wage ranging from $18 to $20 per hour, commensurate with experience and qualifications. In addition to a competitive salary, we offer a comprehensive benefits package that includes medical, dental, and vision insurance, 401k with employer matching, paid time off, and life insurance. The exact compensation package offered will be determined based on the candidate's experience, education, and skills.
