Tertiary qualification in engineering or related fields: BEng Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
In possession of Government Certificate of Competence (Factories or Mines) Mechanical/Electrical.
10 years' experience in engineering, 5 years of the 10 years should be in management.
Lean, TPM and Kaizen Tool Set knowledge.

Ensure smooth and efficient maintenance operation of Brakpan factory.
Perform other tasks as specified by the Plant Manager.
Ensure that both he and his subordinates obey general safety, environment and security regulations.
Ensure that both he and his subordinates obey safety regulations and observe safety precautions as laid down in the Machinery and Occupational Safety Act.
Improve and maintain effective human resources.
Maintain workplace in a clean and workable condition.
Appointed as GMR 2 according to the OSH act.
WCM implementation and Management.
Ensure compliance to Railway Safety Regulations.
Manage and forecast the plant maintenance budget within agreed limits.
Liaise with authorities on service supply issues of water and electricity. Ensure back-up supply availability where possible.
