Position Description:

Abington Friends School seeks a part-time upper school mathematics teacher. The responsibilities of the position include:

• Teaching two sections of mathematics divided between Algebra 2, Precalculus, and/or Calculus.
• Engaging in a student-centered approach to teaching; the ideal candidate will have experience with the facilitation of collaborative work in the math classroom.
• Providing constructive, timely feedback to students and families through grading, maintaining digital records, email communication, and quarterly comment writing.
• Creating availability outside classroom hours to meet with students for extra help as needed.
• Maintaining a safe and inclusive classroom environment where all students feel valued and respected. Values/Characteristics:

  Educational and Professional Background:
