    Description:
    Position Summary

    Under general supervision while working with management to develop goals and objectives in the Poker Room. Ensures a consistent and professional corporate image. Cleans playing cards for the Poker Room Department.

    Supervision Exercised

    Reports to the Poker Manager, Poker Shift Supervisor, and the Poker Floor Person.

    Major Duties and Responsibilities

    Knowledge of Poker games, types and limits.
    Responsible for answering telephone calls in a professional manner with appropriate greeting.
    Responsible for keeping the board up-to-date and notifying players for table assignments.
    Responsible for the continuous monitoring of the Poker Room.
    Count, verify and sign for banks issued.
    Complete customer transactions to include proper verification of cash/chip exchange and conversion.
    Maintain strict adherence to Sandia Resort and Casino System of Internal Controls.

    Responsible for maintaining necessary records:
    exchange sheets, shortage/overage form.
    Responsible for adhering to Title 31 procedures.

    Responsible to maintain communication with Surveillance and Security to ensure the protection of casino assets, customers employees and casino property.

    Perform additional duties and responsibilities as necessary or assigned.
    Assists with payouts for bad beat jackpots and tournaments.

    Ability to deal effectively with the general public and casino staff.
    Ability to work odd and unusual hours, including weekends, and overtime.
    Ability to work under high pressure and stress conditions.
    Ability to exhibit a strong motivational commitment to the organization.
    Ability to speak accurately and clearly in public.
    Ability to use audio and recording system.
    Must have excellent writing and spelling skills.
    Ability to keep accurate records.
    Ability to use cage equipment: 10 Key calculator, money sorters and counters.
    Ability to receive and verify large amounts of money/chips.
    Ability to complete moderately complex arithmetic calculations.
    Ability to pass cashier's test.
    Must be able to read, write and speak English fluently.


    Requirements:
    Minimum Qualifications, Education and Experience


    Required:
    High School Diploma, GED certification or equivalent.
    One (1) year customer service and cashier experience.
    Must be at least 21 years of age.

    Licensing Status

    Must be able to obtain and maintain the required Gaming License.
    Will require a post-offer, pre-employment and random drug screening.

    Working Conditions

    Work is performed indoors.
    Work hours are subject to change with overtime work required.
    Subject to hazards, which may cause personal bodily harm; smoke, common colds, influenza, dust, odors and elevated noise levels.
    Tasks may be performed on uneven, inclined, hard and soft-carpeted floors. Ability to work a flexible scheduled including weekends and holidays.
    Duties may involve walking, standing for long periods of time, sitting and crouching.

    Specifically required movements include the following:
    Trunk - bend, twist, rotate, push, pull, carry
    Arms - reach, carry, lift, twist, and rotate
    Legs - lift, push, pull, twist, and rotate
    Hands - Grasp, manipulate bilateral coordination, hand and eye coordination, and overall and finger dexterity.
