    Scope of Work: We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Anesthesiologist to join our team at Providence VA Medical Center. As an Anesthesiologist, you will provide Board Certified/Board Eligible Anesthesiology Physician Services on-site, delivering exceptional care to beneficiaries of the Department of Veteran Affairs. Your responsibilities will include:

    • Providing anesthesia pre-op, operative, and post-op care.
    • Appropriately documenting all care per Providence VAHCS policy.
    • Reporting to the facility within 30 minutes when on-call for airway emergencies.
    • Providing project support to assist in implementing staffing needs within the Providence VAHCS.
    • Offering coverage to the VA during personnel vacancies due to sick leave, personal leave, vacations, and additional coverage as required.
    • Ensuring timely replacement physician coverage within 2 hours in case of schedule changes.
    • Regular weekday coverage consisting of operating room (OR) coverage from 7:00 am to 5:30 pm.
    • Off-hours coverage, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, with availability for emergency airway management and emergent OR cases.
    • Availability within 15 minutes by phone and on-site within 30 minutes during on-call periods.

    Requirements: To be successful in this role, you must meet the following requirements:

    • Current license to practice medicine in any State, Territory, or Commonwealth of the US or the District of Columbia.
    • Board Certified/Board Eligible by the American Board of Anesthesiology (ABA), certified in BLS, ACLS, or equivalency.
    • 2 Professional References
    • Ability to provide anesthesia pre-op, operative, and post-op care.
    • Proficient in appropriately documenting all care per Providence VAHCS policy.
    • Willingness to provide project support and coverage during personnel vacancies.
    • Availability for regular weekday and off-hours coverage, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
    • Prompt availability within 15 minutes by phone and on-site within 30 minutes during on-call periods.
