    Human Resource Generalist

    Fremont, CA Local candidates- onsite )

    $62-72hr (Weekly pay)

    6-12 month contract ( Excellent potential for permanent or extension)

    Responsibilities

    • Manage and execute various HR Operations functions including benefits, immigration, compensation, employee relations, reporting, etc. while ensuring compliance with federal, state and local laws and regulations
    • HR programs – manage administration of human resource programs in the areas of employment, compensation, benefits, employee relations, etc.
    • Policy interpretation - provide direction to staff and managers on HR policy matters, making or recommending appropriate decisions in accordance with current state and federal employment laws
    • Employee relations – provide guidance and counseling to employees; maintain a strong pulse and connection to the employee population, manage grievances, investigations, performance improvement plans, and terminations.
    • Performance management – manage the annual performance review process
    • Annual Benefits Renewal – actively participate in the annual benefits renewal process
    • Recordkeeping –maintain the HRIS system, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of documents and updates including system configuration
    • Work closely with Finance/payroll department on payroll related matters
    • Ability to work on multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
    • Ability to take the initiative and drive innovation within the HR space
    • Collaborative skills applied to influencing peers, other leaders and senior management in making business decisions and solving complex problems
    • Excellent judgment & analytical skills
    • Ability to execute HR Operations functions
    • Ability to maintain strict confidentiality
    • Strong computer skills in MS Office, Excel, PowerPoint, and HRIS Systems

    Experience:

    • At least 5 years in HR Generalist role
    • Experience with Leave Laws; FMLA, support the process with employees going on leave
    • Experience working with HRIS (Ulti-Pro or similar) or ability to learn new systems easily
    • Experience with employee relations: provide guidance and counseling to employees, manage grievances, investigations, performance improvement plans, and terminations.
    • Experience developing and/or delivering HR programs such as performance reviews
    • Experience with benefit management; maintain benefit programs, administering employee benefit plans,40lk,participate in annual benefits, work with brokers
    • Must be a people person and service oriented
    • Requires ability to seek out information, research, problem solve and come up with solutions.
    • Knowledge of federal and state laws
    • Biopharmaceutical or medical device industry a plus
