    The Benefits Analyst will be responsible for supporting the HR Health & Welfare and Corporate Accounting departments by developing, maintaining, and delivering a wide range of accounting services that follow regulatory and specific plan design requirements.


    The successful candidate will:

    • Prepare analysis of company costs under medical, drug, and dental welfare plans for use actuarial valuations and annual cost reviews.
    • Reconcile corporate welfare benefit liability accounts on monthly basis.
    • Allocate monthly welfare benefit costs for active and retiree populations to company business units.
    • Assist in developing COBRA, accounting accruals, and employee contribution rates for the company's medical and dental plans.
    • Prepare HR Services annual budget. Work with the divisions to review and agree on chargeback allocation methods. Generate and monitor monthly responsibility reports and prepare variance reports against budget.
    • Sarbanes Oxley compliance for HR Services group including documentation of processes and flow charts. Assist in testing as needed.
    • Prepare various benefit-related government filings including H&W Form 5500's.
    • Maintain Form 5500 software and electronically file all Annual Report filings with the Department of Labor.
    • Prepare calculations for Patient-Centered Outcomes Research Institute (PCORI).
    • Calculate, verify, and process invoices for payment. Utilize PeopleSoft and Excel to generate invoices for self-billed programs.
    • Calculate and prepare analytics of benefit program utilizations for management.
    • Oversee special accounting and/or HR projects as assigned.
