Description

We are seeking an Experienced Site-Civil Engineer to join our site/civil department in our growing Framingham, Massachusetts office to work on a variety of electric utility projects. Typical projects involve site/civil design engineering for both large and small scale utility projects. Candidates who have commercial/industrial site development experience will also be considered for the position. Candidate will primarily function as a senior engineer performing design reviews on a regular basis, as well as developing junior staff members, and contributing to bids and proposal development. This role will also consist of taking a responsible engineer role on main client projects, overseeing the work and ensuring quality control on design packages. Site-visits to client substation facilities are expected to be part of the work, along with occasional travel for client meetings and industry related events. Experience in front-facing client operations such as lunch and learns, and kick-off meetings if preferred. Candidate must comply with quality control and safe work practices and maintain compliance with project scope, schedule and budget expectations. This position will be a senior member of a design team comprised of engineers, designers, and drafting technicians.

Skills Needed:

· Land development permitting including NPDES, stormwater management, and knowledge of other typical local, state, and/or federal regulations and permit requirements

· Research additional site data through various sources

· Site layout, grading, and drainage design

· Stormwater modeling and design

· Erosion and sediment control design

· Access road design

· Utility coordination and design

· Retaining wall layout and design

· Documentation of all supporting calculations

· Quantity take-offs

· Construction drawings

· Construction specifications

· Construction observation and field engineering

· Coordination and collaboration with other design disciplines
