We are looking for experienced MDU cable installation subs.

Must hold a valid and current driver's license and be able to pass a background check as/if needed. This job is for ONE apartment complex. This may lead to additional work depending on the delivered quality on this job.

I will list the current expectations based on the needs of our clients. The expectations could change as the job progresses based on the needs of our client.

Exterior of building

Note: Existing exterior wiring that are attached to the façade of the building will be abandoned, terminated and removed from the exterior of the building by the general contractor. No additional permits will be required.

1. Low voltage is currently daisy chained from roof to roof. Contractor will underground in conduit (or direct buried, as per local practice), to all building-to-building connections. The UG portion will be at a later date and a separate contract, based on the needs of our client.

2. Contractor will bring cable service underground to each building, at the pod at the rear of the building

3. Contractor will run single vertical surface- mounted conduit from pod to attic level

4. Most buildings are 12 units, vendor will pull 12 homeruns through the conduit

5. Vendor will penetrate brick at top of and behind the conduit

Interior of building

6. Vendor will develop four drops, each with three wires. The three wires will drop vertically in the stacked utility closets, terminating on the 3rd, 2nd and 1st floors. Audit boxes will be placed in these closets, No additional wiring within the units will be required.

7. All ceiling/floor openings will be fire-caulked

8. Any opening in a demising wall will also be fire-caulked

9. Bright white cable termination box will be used

10. All wire shall be RG6 quad shield

Work Sequence

1. 3 buildings are currently are currently renovated and delivered to tenants, 3 buildings are under renovation, 2 buildings are vacant (or will be shortly) and 19 buildings are still occupied. Note: this is a moment in time and the renovations are ongoing, as are move outs.

a. In delivered buildings, we will give notice through the leasing office to the tenants to inform them of service interruption and wiring in their units

b. Vendor will make attempt to work in vacant buildings currently under renovation when possible

c. Vendor will work in occupied units. The leasing office will provide notice to tenants. Work area must be broom cleaned at end of each day.
