Description
JOB DESCRIPTION
The Physician HTPN examines and treats patients with a variety of conditions, takes patient histories, requests diagnostic tests, makes diagnoses, prescribes treatments, administers vaccinations, performs follow-up exams, and educates patients on disease prevention and health maintenance. Additionally, they supervise the clinical activities of allied health professionals and advanced practice professionals.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Examine, record, and maintain patient information
- Prescribe and administer treatment, therapy, medication, and medical care
- Order and interpret tests to diagnose patients
- Collaborate with clinical team on tests, diagnoses, and treatments
- Monitor patient conditions and adjust treatments as needed
SPECIALTY AREAS
- Diagnose and treat conditions within specialized area
- Work in various healthcare settings
- Perform procedures and treatments within specialty
- Develop post-operative care plans and recommend lifestyle changes
- Supervise clinical activities of care team
