    DESCRIPTION OF POSITION:
    Texas College is seeking an experienced Financial Aid Director.

    This position oversees the administration of institutional, federal and state financial assistance, scholarship programs and the overall operation of a student-focused department.

    The Director is responsible for developing financial aid and financial service strategies that support the College's enrollment, and retention.


    QUALIFICATIONS:

    Bachelor's degree required in Business Administration or related field and at least three years of progressive experience in a Financial Aid Office with at least one year in a senior financial management position.

    Jenzabar and PowerFaids experience preferred. Related work experience or comparable combination of education/experience may be substituted for Financial Aid Office experience.

    Knowledge of current and future regulations, guidelines and trends in federal and state financial aid; fundamental accounting and fiscal reporting procedures; database, spreadsheet, word processing, presentation software as well as computer hardware.

    Must possess strong organization, supervisor, and managerial skills, effective oral and written communication skills, and ability to interrelate effectively with students, parents and peers.
