This role is responsible for driving the credit and collections operations for Jellycat Inc.
The role sits within the finance team and reports into the North American Financial Controller and has a strong degree of interaction with both global and local teams.
Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities:
Develop and lead consistent customer account processes and collection strategies
Drive and monitor credit and collection performance, both as an organization and by individual owner
Provide analysis and monitoring; spot customer payment trends and manage risk associated with large key customer accounts
Approve credit lines and establish credit terms
Direct and take part in collection activities
Oversee monthly customer statement and daily invoice processing
Manage department workflow and performance
Conduct systematic credit reviews of existing customers and assess credit worthiness of potential customers
Manage relations with credit reporting agencies and credit associations
Maintain reporting metrics and provide weekly and monthly updates on A/R integrity to Controller; including potential bad debts and customers on credit hold
Coach and develop team in processes and customer relationship management
Foster collaborative relationships with customers and internal team members
Perform other duties as assigned
Knowledge, Experience, and Skills:
Associates' or Bachelor's degree in finance-related area preferred
At least two years of previous team leadership and supervision required.
Must have 5+ years of experience in Accounts Receivable / Credit management with experience with large retailers required
Ability to create key performance indicators and drive performance to achieve targets
Ability to manage priorities and workflow of team
Strong communication and collaboration skills required
Ability to work in high-growth environment, requiring flexibility and adaptability
Proficiency in in Microsoft office
Experience with SAP operating systems and/or Microsoft D365 a plus
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Physical Requirements:
Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
