    Recruit Secure is collaborating with a large and growing Medical Group that is seeking a caring and dedicated Nurse Practitioner for a Skilled Nursing Facility located in the Macon, GA area for direct hire. The goal of the Medical Group is to work hand in hand with the Skilled Nursing Home to improve the quality of care, increase patient satisfaction, and reduce hospitalization rates. The Nurse Practitioner will be responsible for a continuum of quality patient care, and rehabilitation to their patients. This is a full-time opportunity with a competitive salary, which is dependent upon experience. The successful Nurse Practitioner will have experience working with geriatric populations and some experience in Skilled Nursing Homes. The Nurse Practitioner will work closely with the Medical Director and nursing staff within the Nursing Home but report to the Medical Group.

    Responsibilities are, but are not limited to:
    • Conduct routine check-ups/examinations on patients to assess their health condition and discover possible issues
    • Diagnose, treat, and manage both acute and chronic conditions
    • Collects, records, and manages accurate patient information in the EHR system
    • Documents items such as past medical, family, and social history, review of systems, examinations, medications, allergies, assessments, and care plans
    • Prescribe and interpret lab and imaging tests to obtain more information about underlying infections or abnormalities
    • Administer or prescribe treatments
    • Vaccinates patients to immunize patients from communicable diseases
    • Give appropriate advice for healthy habits (diet, hygiene, etc.) and preventative actions to promote overall health
    • Consult with appropriate medical specialists when necessary; refer the patient to a subspecialist within the network
    • Cultivate a climate of trust and compassion for patients
    • Remain up-to-speed with developments and best practices in medicine by attending conferences and seminars
    Qualifications:
    • Current Georgia License as a Nurse Practitioner
    • National Board Certified
    • American Association of Nurse Practitioners (AANP)
    • American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC)
    • EMR/EHR experience
    • Must have Skilled Nursing Home experience
