Job DescriptionROLE:
COMPANY is a renewable energy IoT stealth-mode startup based in Livermore, CA. The company is currently seeking a highly experienced & motivated Manufacturing Test Engineer.
As a Manufacturing Test Engineer, you will be responsible for a number of duties that include designing test plans and test cases to validate products, provide technical support to the Engineering Team for various testing activities, perform product verification of hardware in the field, administer various debug tools to conduct failure analysis, and develop test procedures to ensure products meet quality standards and specifications before they are released to the market.
Responsibilities:
· Design, develop, and implement manufacturing test systems to ensure the quality and functionality of products during the production process.
· Develop comprehensive test plans based on product specifications and requirements, outlining testing procedures, acceptance criteria, and necessary testing equipment.
· Work closely with the Engineering Team to understand product designs, specifications, and requirements, ensuring that testing processes align with product functionality.
· Oversee the execution of testing procedures on the production line, troubleshoot issues as they arise, and ensure that all products meet quality standards.
· Analyze test data, identify trends, and provide insights to improve the manufacturing process and enhance product quality.
· Participate in continuous improvement initiatives, recommending and implementing changes to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of testing processes.
· Establish and maintain quality control processes throughout the manufacturing cycle, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
· Maintain accurate and thorough records of test processes, results, and any modifications made to testing procedures.
· Address and resolve issues related to the manufacturing process and testing equipment to minimize downtime and maintain production efficiency.
Qualifications and Education Requirements
· Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
· Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
· Strong written and oral skills.
· Knowledge of linear as well as stochastic systems.
Preferred Skills
· Knowledge & experience with Start-up, NPI & Volume manufacturing operations.
· Outstanding Project Management skills (fluency in MS Project or other PM software).
· Excellent & efficient communication with internal teams, suppliers, and end users alike.
· Good decision-making skills, risk mitigation, and cost reduction abilities.
