ABOUT THE JOB:
The Production Supervisor (PS) is in charge of leading and coaching an internal team and collaborating with external suppliers to ensure punctuality and quality.
This role is within a dynamic, construction-focused setting where safety is of utmost importance.The PS guarantees that our operations are quick to respond and flexible, prioritizing the safety of all team members.
WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:
- Safety/Environment: Ensuring compliance with Safety, Transportation, and Environmental Policies.
Ensuring employee/vendor health and safety by establishing a secure workspace, organizing daily safety meetings, DuPont STOPTM, providing training and evaluations, and conducting regular branch assessments.
Implementing operating standards with comprehensive training and communication efforts. - Operations: Efficiently completing all work orders. Reviewing and reporting on performance weekly to enhance strategies. Assessing labor efficiency and planning capacity. Timely inspection of off-rent items; drafting accurate work orders and issuing damage billing when necessary. Moving idle fleets and performing work order assessments as needed. Conducting physical inventories of the fleet.Managing the Work Order system and addressing factors contributing to inaccuracies (condition coding), developing strategies to ensure variances are less than 10% by ensuring accurate work orders for idle fleets and ensuring that work orders for idle fleets are less than 9 months old.
Managing vendor purchase orders. Procuring, receiving, and distributing materials/VAPS to support unit completion requirements. Conducting monthly inventory counts of major parts, VAPS, and minor parts.Focusing on achieving first-time quality and reducing service calls within 60 days by collaborating with the team on root cause analysis and corrective measures.
- Other responsibilities as assigned.EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS:
High School Diploma or GED (College degree preferred, relevant industry experience acknowledged) Over 5 years of supervisory experience in a construction or manufacturing environment. Desired experience with Lean fundamentals Knowledge of state and federal regulations, building codes, and permitting procedures is beneficial. Proficiency in MS Office/Outlook. Ability to manage multiple priorities effectively in a fast-paced environment Aiming to establish the safest, most cost-efficient work environment and exceed customer expectations Developing and nurturing a positive, team-focused work environment Familiarity with the SAP Invoicing Platform is Highly Desired but Not Required.
