    Job Description:


    The Speech Pathologist is responsible for providing the evaluation and treatment of patients with hearing, speech, language and swallowing problems based upon the medical diagnosis and the physician's order for speech/language services that are consistent with the accepted speech pathology standards of practice.

    Applies the principles of growth and development to the care of pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric age patients.

    Works with many different individuals including customers, patients, physicians, employees, etc., and must recognize the need for teamwork and function accordingly.

    EDUCATION:
    Masters Degree in Speech Pathology required

    EXPERIENCE:
    Minimum of six months related experience and/or training is preferred

    CERTIFICATIONS AND LICENSES:
    Certificate of clinical competency (CCC) following CFY from ASHA (American Speech and Hearing Association) required.

    Current speech pathology license from the State of NE, or is in the process of completing clinical fellowship year (CFY) required.

    Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) required.
