Job Summary:
The Director of Hospice Sales role entails spearheading strategic sales initiatives and overseeing day-to-day sales operations. This includes cultivating relationships with key stakeholders, guiding the sales team to meet
admission
targets, and expanding market presence. The Director ensures compliance with industry regulations, fosters growth, and strives for exceptional patient
s
atisfaction. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in healthcare sales, particularly in
H
ospice care, along with exceptional leadership skills and a passion for delivering high-quality, compassionate care to patients and their families.
Responsibilities:
Develop and execute comprehensive sales strategies to achieve
admission
targets and increase market share in the
H
ospice care segment within the designated geographic area
Hire key talent and build a team of
high-producing
sales
reps.
Identify
and cultivate relationships with key referral sources including hospitals, skilled nursing facilities, physician practices, assisted living facilities, and other healthcare providers to generate referrals and admissions to our
H
ospice services.
Provide effective leadership, guidance, and support to the sales team, including setting clear performance expectations, conducting regular
coaching
and training sessions, and fostering a culture of collaboration and accountability.
Stay abreast of industry trends, competitive landscape, and regulatory changes affecting
H
ospice care, and
utilize
this knowledge to inform strategic decision-making and
identify
new business opportunities.
Monitor and analyze sales performance metrics, such as admissions, conversion rates, and
activity by referral source type
, to evaluate team performance
and
ide
ntify
areas for improvement.
Build and
maintain
strong, long-lasting relationships with key stakeholders, including healthcare providers, and community organizations, to enhance brand awareness and drive referrals.
Work closely with cross-functional teams, including clinical operations, marketing, finance, and compliance, to ensure alignment of sales activities with organizational goals and
objectives
.
Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements, company policies, and ethical standards governing the sale and delivery of hospice care services.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in business, healthcare administration, or related field
required
'
Minimum of 5 years of experience in healthcare sales, with a proven
track record
of success in
H
ospice care sales
in the position territory
preferred.
Previous
experience in a leadership or management role, with
demonstrated
ability to effectively lead and motivate a sales team to achieve goals and
objectives
.
Strong understanding of the
H
ospice care industry, including knowledge of referral sources, payer landscape, and regulatory requirements.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and credibility with diverse stakeholders.
Strategic thinker with the ability to develop and execute sales strategies in a dynamic and competitive market environment.
Proficiency
in Microsoft Office suite and CRM software (e.g., Salesforce) preferred.
Valid driver's license and ability to travel within the designated geographic area as needed.
