    Opportunity Summary

    As an Environmental Engineer you will be responsible for developing, implementing, and continually improving Micron's environmental, health, and safety programs and procedures to ensure personnel and plant wide compliance. You will supervise and conduct EHS audits to assess the level of implementation & efficiency of EHS management system, identify & recommend measures to close gaps and improve the management system, while working to continuously improve compliance programs. You will be collaborating closely with internal and external organizations on EHS compliance issues to help propel the business forward.

    What's Encouraged Daily:
    • Ensure Micron's environmental programs and procedures are effective, efficient, and conform to regulatory requirements and the ISO 14001 management system.
    • Implement and maintain accurate environmental permits, modifications, and operating procedures.
    • Assist in achieving site's sustainability goals by participating in committees and providing feedback to plan, implement, and supervise projects.
    • Effectively communicate (both written and verbal) environmental matters to Micron Leadership and local, state, and federal agencies.
    • Prepare compliance reports, quantify environmental impacts, and partner with regulatory agencies.
    • Research, review, and analyze policy and perform regulatory applicability evaluations
    • Lead compliance audits and implement follow-up corrective actions to ensure compliance with applicable laws and conformance with ISO14001
    • Coordinate, lead, and conduct environmental walkthroughs, inspections, and audits to ensure operations align with procedures and regulatory requirements.
    • Perform incident and event follow-up and investigation, determine root cause(s), implement containment action, establish corrective action & preventative action, and verify efficiency.
    • Collect, evaluate, and communicate environmental-related metrics and performance measurements.
    • Identify, develop, and provide environmental training in accordance with regulatory requirements, and company objectives.
    • Provide customer support and technical expertise for pertaining to environmental issues and regulations.
    How To Qualify:
    • 5+ years of Environmental experience for Engineer, 7-10 years for Senior Engineer
    • Proven understanding of Federal and New York State specific environmental regulations, including but not limited to SEQR, EIS, DEC regulations related to waste, water, and air management.
    • Solid understanding of air quality laws (NSPS, NSR, NESHAP, MACT, Title V and PSD) regulations, and standards
    • Familiarity/solid understanding of CAA, RCRA, CERCLA, CWA (NPDES, MSGP, CGP, SPCC) ISO14001
    • Experience with Risk Management Plans and Process Safety Management are a plus
    • Bachelor's Degree in Environmental or Chemical Engineering, Environmental Science, or Environmental-related field
    Please note: Position is initially remote, with some travel to New York as needed. When construction activities commence, relocation to NY would be required.

    The US base salary range that Micron Technology estimates it could pay for this full-time position is:

    $79, $168,000.00

    Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries of the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional job-related factors, including knowledge, skills, experience, tenure and relevant education or training. The pay scale is subject to change depending on business needs. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for your preferred location during the hiring process. Additional compensation may include benefits, discretionary bonuses and equity.
