    Position Overview: We are currently seeking a dynamic and experienced Infection Control Nurse to join our team at Western Slope Care Center. As the Infection Control Nurse, you will play a critical role in preventing and controlling infections within our facility, ensuring the safety and well-being of our residents and staff. This is a full-time position offering an excellent opportunity to utilize your expertise in infection prevention while working in a supportive and collaborative environment.

    Key Responsibilities:
    • Develop, implement, and evaluate infection prevention and control policies and procedures in accordance with regulatory guidelines and best practices.
    • Conduct regular surveillance of healthcare-associated infections (HAIs) and other communicable diseases within the facility.
    • Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to identify and mitigate infection risks and implement preventive measures.
    • Provide education and training to staff on infection control protocols, including hand hygiene, personal protective equipment (PPE) use, and isolation precautions.
    • Monitor compliance with infection control practices and conduct audits to assess adherence to established protocols.
    • Investigate outbreaks of infectious diseases and implement appropriate control measures to contain and prevent further spread.
    • Maintain accurate records and reports of infection surveillance data, trends, and outcomes.
    • Stay abreast of current developments in infection control and participate in professional development activities to enhance knowledge and skills.

    Qualifications:
    • Registered Nurse (RN) with current licensure in the state of (Insert State).
    • Certification in Infection Control (CIC) preferred.
    • Minimum of two years of experience in infection prevention and control, preferably in a healthcare setting.
    • Strong knowledge of infection control principles, practices, and regulations.
    • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
    • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders to achieve common goals.
    • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
