- Develop, implement, and evaluate infection prevention and control policies and procedures in accordance with regulatory guidelines and best practices.
- Conduct regular surveillance of healthcare-associated infections (HAIs) and other communicable diseases within the facility.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to identify and mitigate infection risks and implement preventive measures.
- Provide education and training to staff on infection control protocols, including hand hygiene, personal protective equipment (PPE) use, and isolation precautions.
- Monitor compliance with infection control practices and conduct audits to assess adherence to established protocols.
- Investigate outbreaks of infectious diseases and implement appropriate control measures to contain and prevent further spread.
- Maintain accurate records and reports of infection surveillance data, trends, and outcomes.
- Stay abreast of current developments in infection control and participate in professional development activities to enhance knowledge and skills.
- Registered Nurse (RN) with current licensure in the state of (Insert State).
- Certification in Infection Control (CIC) preferred.
- Minimum of two years of experience in infection prevention and control, preferably in a healthcare setting.
- Strong knowledge of infection control principles, practices, and regulations.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders to achieve common goals.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
