Short Description
The Assistant Chief of Medical Dosimetry position has become necessary as the footprint of Radiation Oncology and therefore Medical Dosimetry has grown significantly in the last several years.
New facilities in Mt. Laurel, Moorestown, and Cape Regional demand significant oversight.
It is clear that assistance for the Chief of Medical Dosimetry is essential to keep pace with this expansion.
Function as the Chief Dosimetrist in their absence at all meetings, supervisory roles, and responsibilities.
Oversight of all dosimetry satellite locations including Mt. Laurel, Moorestown, Cape Regional facilities and any additional facilities that join our Radiation Oncology family.
Complete oversight of MR-Linac facility including patient assignments, protocol adherence, and staff assistance.
Responsible for designing a treatment plan and carrying out dose calculations based on the Radiation
Oncologist's prescribed course of radiotherapy.
Responsible for data recording and management related to patient radiotherapy treatment.
Attend meetings and provide input on all QA/QI projects and QMP initiatives for the betterment of the department.
Proactively recommend and implement quality enhancements to dosimetry operations.
Continuously review clinical practice standards and Scope of Practice expectations for medical dosimetrists adherence.
Assist in billing, usage and other productivity metrics.
Participate and provide input in yearly staff evaluations.
Experience Required
6-10 years
Some management experience preferred
Education Requirements
Bachelor's Degree
