    At GCI, we solve the hard problems. As a Senior Systems Administrator, a typical day will include the following duties:

    Description

    GCI is looking for a highly motivated and experienced Systems Administrator Senior Advisor to join our team. The ideal candidate is responsible supporting several versions of Microsoft SharePoint and Power Bi Report Server. The focus of this work is to provide day to day content administration across several SharePoint tenants ensuring the timely and accurate flow of information across system enclaves. This will include the development and implementation of automation, creation of information capture capabilities, generating corporate documentation and policies, establishing and implementing data models, and the delivery of data-driven reports and dashboards. The ideal candidate would possess a significant understanding of project management principles able to incorporate them into work products and experience in customizing SharePoint sites to meet unique customer and mission needs.

    Duties and Responsibilities

    • Provide SharePoint site management support based upon customer guidance and input.
    • Participate in PMO planning and implementation of customer data/information needs
    • Propose improvements to customers (executives, LOB managers, PMs, and the like)
    • Participate/Lead/Create and manage process development efforts - building turnkey solutions (information capture, automation, data model/storage, analytics/reporting)
    • Ensure information delivery is timely, accurate, and formatted to customer needs
    • Provide admin and user documentation concerning the use/management of site collections
    • Continuously assess the "value" of current services, improving them where able/necessary

    Desired Skills and Abilities

    • >5 years' experience with SharePoint Content Administration (M365, 2016/2019)
    • >5 years' experience customizing SharePoint Sites or building web applications
    • >3 years of data modeling, ETL and other data wrangling services
    • Excellent communication skills
    • Works well in teams as well as independently
    • Self-motivated, results oriented, detailed and organized
    • Comfortable with changing environments and able to adapt quickly
    • Expert troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
    • Willing to learn and grow as technical requirements shift

    Education Requirement

    • BA/BS (or equivalent experience)
