    Responsibilities

    In this position of Electrical Engineering Lead, you will play a pivotal role in the team, bringing your extensive expertise to guide and enhance various aspects of electrical and control system engineering. Key responsibilities and qualifications include:

    Team Leadership: You will be responsible for leading and coordinating a multidiscipline engineering team, ensuring efficient collaboration and project success.

    Peer Review and Reporting: Your role involves providing critical peer reviews of electrical and control system designs and the ability to write and edit technical engineering reports to maintain the highest quality standards.

    Engineering Expertise: Your experience with front end loading engineering processes, oil and gas facility engineering tasks, total installed cost development for electrical and control systems, and low and medium voltage electrical distribution system design is essential.

    Control System Design: Your knowledge and experience with instrumentation and control system design are key assets.

    Code Compliance: You should possess a strong understanding of industry codes, including NEC, IEEE, ANSI, NEMA, and NFPA, and apply them effectively in your work.

    Specification and Drawings: You'll be involved in specifying electrical equipment as needed and proficient in reading and preparing project drawings, including area classification, one-lines, and wiring diagrams.

    Technical Analysis: Your role encompasses electrical system modeling, arc flash risk assessments, and electrical coordination studies using software packages like ETAP, EasyPower, or SKM.

    Communication Skills: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills are crucial for effective collaboration and reporting.

    On-Site Support: You will be expected to travel to job sites to provide essential support as needed, ensuring project success and safety.

    Qualifications

    1. Professional Engineer (P.E.) Registration: Registration as a Professional Engineer (P.E.) in Texas (preferred) or the capability to obtain one is an essential requirement.

    2. Extensive Electrical Engineering Experience: A minimum of 10 years of hands-on experience in Electrical Engineering, particularly in the context of the oil & gas, refining, and/or pipeline industries.

    3. Team Leadership and Peer Review Skills: The ability to effectively lead a multidiscipline engineering team and provide expert peer review of electrical and control system designs is a critical qualification for this role.
